The
community service work of The Amherst Club focuses on local needs.
Monies raised go to worthy organizations that apply for funding to support specific
projects. From its founding through 2013, raised $343,000 in contributions. The Amherst Club holds a major philanthropic fundraiser each year. In
recent years, this event has been Love Notes, a program of
entertainment followed by a gala reception. Love Notes takes place on
or around Valentine’s Day.  recipients of one of the Love Notes grants set up their informational table prior to the concert Purchase of a ticket to the reception provides additional funds for the recipient organizations.  |
