Sam Rush is the Executive Director of the New Century Theatre, which is about to embark on its twentieth anniversary season.  He told us a bit about the history of NCT and talked a bit about the interaction between a cast and its audience, illustrating this by reading some "pro" and "con" messages about the recent production of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia.  Most of the cons had to do with not being able to hear and understand the speakers.  Sound familiar?

The twentieth anniversary season will open on June 17th with Michael Frayn's hilarious Noises Off.  That will be followed by Jack Neary's To Forgive, Divine, Lynn Nottage's Intimate Apparel and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).  The Paint Box Theatre, for children, will present versions of Peter Rabbit, Three Billy Goats Gruff, and Three Muskateers.
